FAQ
Frequently asked questions.
What West Coast growers and processors ask us most about selling almonds, pistachios, hazelnuts and walnuts to European industrial buyers.
What is The Good E?
The Good E is a West Coast nut supplier program based in the USA. We connect serious almond, pistachio, hazelnut and walnut growers and processors on the West Coast with established European industrial buyers — through structured, recurring sourcing programs with logistics and export support included.
Who buys the product on the European side?
Established European food manufacturers with recurring industrial demand — producers of marzipan, confectionery, bakery and food ingredients. These are buyers who purchase for production, not speculation: they care about quality, consistency, crop year, grades, documentation, food safety and long-term reliability.
Which products and grades are you reviewing?
California almonds are the core focus — grades such as U.S. Select Sheller Run, U.S. Standard Sheller Run and industrial formats like meal, diced and blanched pieces — plus pistachios, hazelnuts and walnuts in kernel and ingredient-grade formats. If your product fits European industrial specifications, we want to hear about it.
How is this different from a broker asking for my price?
We do not shop your price around. The Good E represents structured demand: we review product fit, grades, documentation and real buyer needs first, and only then move the conversation toward a seasonal or annual supply program. The goal is recurring business, not one-off spot loads.
How does the logistics and export side work?
We help coordinate quality control, documentation, logistics and shipments from the West Coast to Europe — the main lane runs from California to Hamburg, Germany. Suppliers focus on the product; we support the export process end to end.
What documentation do European buyers require?
Typically: a current technical specification per grade and format, crop year, aflatoxin analysis and control documentation, food-safety certifications, traceability information and export experience. We help suppliers understand and prepare what each buyer requires.
What volumes and commitments are you looking for?
We look for growers and processors who want recurring business through seasonal and annual programs, rather than single spot opportunities. Program sizes depend on the buyer and product — share your grades, formats and available volume and we will review the fit.
How do I start a conversation?
Use the contact form or schedule a call from the website. Tell us what you grow or process, which grades and formats you handle, and your available volume — we review fit first and respond with real next steps.
